The best roads around Ufford Park

Ufford Park is situated in some of the most beautiful Suffolk countryside yet is easily accessible from Norwich, Ipswich and Stansted airport.

We are just five minutes from the A12 which gives you access to some wonderful historic venues and sites of special interest. The charming market town of Woodbridge and famous Anglo-Saxon burial ground at Sutton Hoo are both just two miles away.

The A12 gives you easy access North to Thorpeness, Aldeburgh, Dunwich, and Southwold and the other well-known towns along Suffolk’s unspoilt heritage coastline. We also recommend that you head South down the A12 to visit the iconic Flatford Mill so beautifully painted by Constable and visit the area that inspired this our most famous British painter.

We are on the edge of some 150 square miles of extraordinary landscape - an area of outstanding natural beauty, including lowland coastal scenery, wildlife-rich wetlands and the historic Sandlings heaths.  Head down the A1152 to explore this area and visit Sutton Hoo. Or take the Melton road to Woodbridge and take a walk on the quayside and explore the river Deben.

Follow the B1069 as it winds past the edge of beautiful countryside and visit Snape Maltings, a collection of shops and galleries set in the old mill, plus a farmers market and artist workshops. Head towards the coast via the B1084 and you will travel through Rendlesham Forest and arrive at the Orfordness-Havergate National Nature Reserve.
