Job Reference:  APCC/08/21

Contract: Apprenticeship – 18 months

Salary:  £5.50 per hour for the first 12 months, then rates as follows: £5.50 p/h (age 16-17), £7.50 p/h (age 18-20), £9.00 p/h age 21-22), £9.55 p/h age 23+

Hours:   37.5 hours per week – 5 out of 7 days, including weekends (which includes 20% off-the-job training in line with the Apprenticeship scheme)

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Ufford Park are delighted to announce the opportunity for an Apprentice to join our busy Kitchen Team as a Commis Chef.  The successful candidate will need to demonstrate and understand all the skills of a Chef de Partie in a well run busy hotel, and be part of a friendly team, helping them with all tasks.

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week – shift basis

Short Summary & Key Responsibilities of the role:

As Assistant Park Bar and Restaurant Manager you work with the Park Bar and Restaurant Manager to assist and lead the Park Bar and Restaurant team to ensure that all guests are served to the company standard in the Bar, lounge or Restaurant areas.  You will ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times within all food and beverage areas.  Additionally, you will serve and explain menu dishes, drinks, cocktails and coffees to guests including ingredients and discussing any allergy information.  This position requires a flexible approach to a variety of shift patterns and could include breakfast shifts, late evening and weekend shifts.  A minimum age of 18 is required due to bar work.

As Bartender you will ensure that all guests are served to the company standard in the Park Bar, Lounge or Restaurant areas, as well as support the team during Events, such as weddings, party nights etc, within our two Function Room Bar’s.  You will ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times within all food and beverage areas.  The position requires a flexible approach to a variety of shift patterns and includes morning shifts, late evening and weekend shifts.  A minimum age of 18 is required due to bar work.

Job Reference: CDP/04/21

Salary: £22,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The ideal candidate will be personable and motivated. You must be able to work as part of a busy team and as an individual, and have high standards of service and cleanliness. This role is full time and will require evening, weekend ,bank holidays on a shift basis. We pride ourselves on our speedy and knowledgeable service, along with the atmosphere created by our team. Key Responsibilities of the role:

To provide excellent back up to the Head Chef & Senior Sous Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking in the absence of the Head Chef and senior Chefs.

To provide meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes and contribute to menus.

To take an active part in the training & development of Commis Chef’s, Trainee Chefs & Kitchen Assistants.

To be responsible and accountable for running the kitchen in the Head Chef’s or Senior Sous Chef’s absence during the shift.

We are currently looking for candidates to join our Housekeeping Team as a Housekeeper to clean hotel bedrooms and public areas.  As a Housekeeper you will ensure that all areas are cleaned and presented to the company standard.  Deliver a high level of hygiene and excellent presentation within the rooms

To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation at all times.  Being punctual for scheduled shifts and maintaining a good attendance record.

Ufford Park are looking to recruit an additional Part-time Lifeguard to join our Leisure team.  This role will include lifeguard duties (qualification provided by Ufford Park), cleaning and maintaining facilities, selling memberships and following Ufford Park’s service standards for upholding and delivering first class customer service to our members and leisure guests.  The successful candidate will be required to work weekends and have flexibility with hours, and will hold the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
