Coronavirus update

Spring back the good times...

Hurrah. It's official. Boris has given us the 'green light' to open up inside, from Monday 17th May.

Our hotel is now once again open to leisure guests, our Thermal Suite Spa is to reopen and The Park Restaurant will also resume service inside.

30 people will be able to attend weddings, receptions, wakes, funerals and christenings.

Monday 21st June (earliest)

All limits on social contact, such as the 'rule of six', to be removed for both indoor and outdoor settings. Larger events can go ahead and other businesses which previously couldn't open, will be able to reopen.

As stated by the Government, all of these dates are subject to change.

"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your understanding and support throughout the last year, especially to those of you that physically came to visit us. Being a relatively small and independent family business, we couldn’t have made it through this year without each and every one of you.

As a business, we believe we have done everything that we possibly could to ensure Ufford Park is as COVID-secure as possible and to keep our members, guests and staff safe, but we understand the necessary action the Government has had to take.

The journey ahead for us all still won’t be easy, but I am positive we can get through it together. I have been so proud to see how well my team – The Ufford Park Family – have pulled together through this unpredictable year, and I am very optimistic that Ufford Park will come out the other side of this even stronger!

In the meantime, stay safe and we hope to see you soon. Please do keep an eye on our social media channels and website for our latest updates."

Tarnia Robertson

Managing Director

For more details on each area of the business, please see below.

We have reviewed all of our procedures to ensure the safety of our guests and our team is at the forefront of everything we do. Here are just a few of the measures that we have put in place:

The rule of six outside has come back into force so you are able to play golf up to 4-balls with mixed households. The course is open, but all golfers must have pre-booked tee times before coming down to play.

Club hire: Due to Government restrictions, no club hire is available and therefore players must bring their own equipment.

Buggies are available to hire, but as per guidelines, are still single rider only until further notice.

The half-way hut is available for takeaway drinks, snack, as well as sausage rolls and pasties!

The Driving Range has reopened, so you are welcome to come down and hit some balls before you play, or for a practice session. No pre-booking needed.

Golf Reception is open and phone bookings / enquiries will be back with our normal opening hours of 7am to 8pm, Monday - Friday, and 7am to 6pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Congo Rapids Adventure Golf has reopened on this date. You will find all the relevant information about any restrictions and how to pre-book online by visiting their website:

The Doctor Golf Academy is back for individual and small group coaching. Stuart and Sam will be available to get your back in order after such a long layoff! For all enquiries and to pre-book a lesson, please contact the guys via

The Park Bar Terrace has reopened with the rule of six, for al fresco dining only. This means you are able to sit in a group of six, outside, and order food or drink before or after playing golf.

American Golf has reopened.

The Park Bar and Restaurant can finally reopen it's doors and we can go back inside using the rule of six.

The hotel will also be reopening on this date, meaning small golf groups of up to 6 can return.

Golf Matches: We will be allowed to restart inter-club matches with friendlies and county knockout matches that can be run under COVID-safe guidelines.

Please be aware, that as advised by the Government, these dates are subject to change.

In the meantime, please stay positive and keep safe - golf will be back before you know it!

Book with confidence...

We want you to be able to book without having to worry about what will happen if your holiday has to be cancelled. We have temporarily waived the standard cancellation policy meaning that you are protected if the following applies:

  1. The Government ban travel out of your area, or into Suffolk
  2. Overnight stays are not permitted
  3. The ‘rule of 6’ makes your holiday impossible

In any of these cases, you will have the following options:

  1. Move your booking. This can be for any stay up to 12 months ahead. It can be for a like for like booking, or something different (subject to availability). The price you pay may be higher or lower depending on the dates and time of year. If higher, you can simply pay the difference. If lower, you will be refunded the difference. There will be no admin fee or other charges.
  2. Take a credit note. This is ideal if you know you still want to come to Suffolk, but are unsure of dates.
  3. Have a refund. We will happily refund the full amount you have paid for your holiday, including the deposit.

We reserve the right to make changes to the temporary policy waiver but if we do so, we will give you a minimum of four weeks’ notice. Cancellations for other reasons are according to our standard Terms and Conditions.

If you booked your reservation via a third party (e.g., Spa Breaks, Golf Breaks and others), please contact them directly for assistance.

Ufford Park gift vouchers will automatically be extended until 31st July 2021.

If you have any vouchers through Spa Seekers, Wowcher, or any other third party you must speak to them directly.
