Why Not Delay Your Wedding Reception
Sometimes, it’s nice to try and stick to tradition as much as possible – but then again, a change can always be as good as a rest! At Ufford Park Woodbridge, we’ve hosted a wide range of beautiful and truly unique wedding days that have been tailored exactly to the needs and wants of the central couples involved. The big day generally, of course, includes the ceremony itself, the wedding breakfast (where all the speeches and the big dinner occurs) and the reception. For many couples and their friends and family, the party is the best bit – but who says that it has to follow everything else on the exact same day?
It is becoming an increasingly commonplace for couples to split their wedding days apart – meaning that you could quite easily hold your formal ceremony one day, go on honeymoon, and then have a huge party a few weeks after. For some people, it just makes practical sense! We at Ufford Park generally receive a huge influx of wedding day requests around New Year – and as our books begin to fill up, we can sadly find that some couples who approach us are unable to host the full day they imagined on the dates they require. This is why we sometimes suggest that a ceremony can be held on one day and a reception a few weeks after.
This may well allow you to think more flexibly about how you wish to get married and in terms of the guests you can invite. If you’d like to get married abroad, for example, you can easily do so with our flexibility – you can tie the knot out of the country and can arrange for the big party to take place once you’re back on British soil. This way, you can make sure everyone you’d like to be around to help celebrate your big event can do so – without fear or leaving anyone out! It may even help you to cut down the costs – and the stress – of throwing your big day together all in one go!
If you’re interested in sharing up your wedding day – perhaps even taking a few days’ break before your big party – we’ll only be too happy to help out.
