Things to do with the kids
As spring heads into full swing, you’re likely to be wondering how you’re going to keep the kids happy for that long stretch of school holidays ahead.
Easter and summer holidays should be all about finding joy in the little experiences – and they definitely shouldn’t be wasted indoors! With the weather getting better, we’ve got more than enough inspiration to help you and your family find something fun, easy and memorable to do during your stay at Ufford Park.
While Ufford Park may be a spa and golf resort first and foremost, why should the adults have all the fun? Kids of all ages love our Congo Rapids Lost World crazy golf adventure – with life-size dinosaurs and jungle adventuring thrown in!
What’s more, we back onto the gorgeous Deben Valley – prime for some fantastic walks, woodland adventuring and a picnic or two. We’re only 2 miles away from the famous Anglo-Saxon burial ground at Sutton Hoo, and not far beyond lies the tranquil and refreshing 1500 hectare Rendlesham Forest. At the visitor centre there are numerous children’s activity areas with playground equipment. There are also a variety of sign posted trails, one in particular is the UFO trail dedicated to the unexplained sightings in December 1980. Cycle hire is available. Throughout the year there are also a variety of open air events and activities. If you’re looking to show your little ones just how gorgeous the great outdoors can be, we really don’t think you need look any further!
Though that’s not all – less than 15 minutes away is Easton Farm Park which was built in the late 1800s and has been a Farm Park since 1974, the second farm park to be opened in the UK. It offers a unique mix of interactive farm fun within a set of listed historic buildings and countryside. Easton Farm Park is an ideal place for family visits.
Also worth a visit is the Suffolk Punch Trust. The Suffolk Horse is the oldest breed of Heavy Horse in the UK, dating back to the 16th Century, having been bred around Woodbridge. It is very fitting that the Suffolk Punch Trust is located at Hollesley Bay Stud. The heritage visitor centre was opened in 2010 and is proving to be hugely popular, once meeting the horses it would be hard not to be in awe of their strength and kind noble spirit. They truly are a part of Suffolk history.
A bit further out (about an hour’s drive) is the immensely popular Pleasurewood Hills amusement park - with plenty for kids and big kids alike to get excited about.
Take it from us – if you’re looking for a variety of fun and exciting things to do which will stay with your family for years to come, we’ll be only too happy to help. Take a closer look at what Ufford Park has to offer and you’ll see that it’s not just Mums and Dads who come here to unwind and have fun – bring the kids to enjoy their school breaks to the fullest!
